Andrey Artyushenko moderated the “Construction Law” session.
During the session, participants discussed key developments in Kazakhstan’s construction regulation, including the new Construction Code and the initial practical aspects of its application. Particular attention was paid to the development of the Alatau City territory, as well as legal aspects of implementing construction projects in specially protected natural areas.
Andrey’s moderation brought together representatives of the legal community, business and industry experts to discuss practical issues arising in the implementation of construction projects under the new regulatory environment.

Aliaksandr Antonau participated as a forum speaker.
In his presentation, Aliaksandr addressed key legal risks and practical aspects of implementing construction and infrastructure projects. In particular, he discussed public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms based on the example of the BAKAD project, specifics of cooperation with Chinese contractors, and the application of international FIDIC contract standards in conjunction with civil law provisions.
Special attention was given to typical mistakes that may arise when structuring and implementing projects in the CIS countries and the Middle East, including issues related to risk allocation between project participants, contractual arrangements and selecting an appropriate project implementation model.
The session participants discussed practical approaches to construction project implementation, including contract framework preparation, risk management for contractors and customers, as well as specific aspects of supporting large-scale infrastructure initiatives.
