Name and address adjustments for a legal entity, branch and representative office in Kazakhstan

Since 03.11.2023 in the State database “Legal Entities” there is an opportunity to correct the name and location (address) of legal entities, branches and representative offices online using a special state service.

Updating (correction) of the name and address of legal entities, branches and representative offices occur in case of an error in the name or address of a legal entity, branch and representative office.

This requires authorisation on the e-government portal of Kazakhstan, ordering the service online, filling in the application form, attaching a supporting document (if necessary) and signing the application using an electronic digital signature. The term for processing the application and updating the information is 3 working days. 

This service allows to avoid such procedure as re-registration of a legal entity. It should be noted that earlier, if there was an error in the name, it was required to proceed with the procedure of re-registration of a legal entity with the preparation of documents stipulated by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (decisions/protocols of authorised bodies, constituent documents in a new version or amendments/additions thereto, etc.).
